Crossroads UMC offers several adult studies on Sunday morning, as well as throughout
the week. Currently the following Sunday School classes are being offered:
Traditional - For lack of a better term, the “traditional” Sunday school class is
designed for those adults who are more comfortable in a “formal” class, with a regular
curriculum and weekly readings. This class is currently meeting in the library (church
basement).
Inquirers - This class is to help persons begin a journey toward Christian faith and life.
It is for anyone who wishes to learn the basic beliefs of our Christian faith and
Methodism from within our congregation. We will study the impact on our souls of our
Creator God, His desire for a close relationship with us; His purposes for sending His
son, Jesus Christ, to live among us and then to die for us, and the guidance and
support of the Holy Spirit throughout each of our faith walks. In addition, we will learn of
the basic history and principles of our Methodist denomination.
Alternate Adult Class - A third class will focus on the various Christian faiths, their
histories and their belief systems. This class will start on September 16, 2007, with
Rev. Dobbs teaching.
Care Groups / Small Groups
These are small groups of adults who meet together on a regular basis for prayer, Bible
study, support, accountability and encouragement.
DISCIPLE Bible Study
We would like to offer a Disciple 1 class. This is a 34-week intensive bible study
covering 75% of the bible. Please contact Rev. Dobbs (655-1466) by September 9,
2007 so we can see if there is enough interest.
The Disciple 4 class will be on Monday nights at 7 p.m. at the church. The Disciple 1
class is a prerequisite for this class. It is called Under the Tree of Life and covers the
writings, John, and Revelations. Please call Diane Vincent (655-1466) ASAP if you are
interested, so she can order materials.
Crossroads Ladies Club
CLC meets on the second Saturday of each month at 10:30 AM. Women of all ages
are invited to attend these gatherings.
Crossroads Men
The CUMC Men meet on the first Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM. Men of all ages
are invited to attend and participate in this fellowship.
