Mission and Outreach
Crossroads UMC has made a commitment to our role as the body of Christ in the world at
large.  In addition to supporting UMC ministries within our Conference, Crossroads supports
several ministries around the world.  Below is a small sampling.

Healing Hearts of Kosovo
Healing Hearts is an independent Christian mission founded by Geoffrey and Anna Wormus in
the summer of 1995, when they responded to the Lord’s call to help those suffering from the
wars in Croatia and Bosnia that resulted after the breakup of the former Yugoslavia.

Soaring Unlimited
Dorothy Fredrickson is our missionary to Haiti. She works to develop self-help and health
education programs as well spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.  A big emphasis is in
the area of AIDS awareness. She continues to find homes for rescued children, organizes
gardening efforts, helps volunteer groups build housing for local families, teaches English and
a multitude of other ministries.

Campus Crusade for Christ
Campus Crusade for Christ is a Ministry of Athletes in Action.  Our missionary, Joy E.
Schultheis, works out of the University of Wisconsin.  Her role is to direct the women's
ministry as well as train interns and students to be life long ministers of the gospel.  She has
been sharing the gospel with the athletes, leading Bible studies, and equipping the athletes to
share their faith.  You can find more information at the
Athletes in Action web site, or by
contacting Tom or Jan Knox at (517) 655-1466
CROP Walk
CROP Walk is May 4, 2008 starting at 2:00 PM.  There will be two routes to walk in
Williamston.  This activity supports Church World Service projects as well as local food
banks.  Please see Tom or Jan Knox or call 655-1466 for more information.
