News & Announcements
Adult Choir
Adult Choir is a time of fellowship and singing.  It is a low stress environment, designed for
people who have the gift of music and/or love singing, but don’t feel called to lead worship on
a weekly basis.  The adult choir will sing as part of worship every six weeks or so.

Please note that ADULT CHOIR will meet at 6:30 PM on Thursdays and will be led by Les
Dunckle beginning May 15, 2008.
Stewardship and Tithing
In back-to-back messages at two Crossroads’ Sunday afternoon Rizen services recently,
former Crossroads member Dan Hankins and former Pastor Pat Skinner taught us about
stewardship.

Dan counseled kids and adults who attended Rizen to build their stewardship by:

Growing the gift of Life, which God has given us.
Developing the gift of Generosity, with those around us.
Advancing the gift of Mission through our lives and our congregation.
Building the gift of Hope in our lives and in the lives of those we seek to serve.

“God invites us to be good stewards of all four gifts,” Dan emphasized.  “Each year positively
reinforce the stewardship gifts you have well in place.  And be much in prayer for your own
growth in stewardship and for those with whom you are growing.”

Pastor Pat used the word “TITHE” as an acronym for helping us give back a proper portion
of what God has given us. The acronym stands for:

T –Thanksgiving/gratitude
I – Investment in God’s work
T – Trust building
H – Habit-forming
E – Evidence of our faith

For all, Pat offered several scriptures in support. Among many things, the scriptures she cited
describe being in perpetual praise, conditions of discipleship, the parable of the shrewd
manager, how faith without works is deadly and how God is our help.

For more details, please see Judy Marr, who has notes and handouts from Dan’s and Pastor
Pat’s messages.
