UNITED METHODIST WOMEN Saturday, May 19 - Women's Retreat

The local UMW Unit at Crossroads is open to all women ages 14 and up.
There is no set "dues", however, members are encouraged to make an
annual "pledge to mission". Some of these funds are sent to the Lansing
District, which in turn forwards a portion to the state organization. Some of
the pledges, combined with funds raised through special projects, are
donated to local charities, such as Hannah's House, a home for homeless
pregnant women.
Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 am at the
church.

women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering
spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.

All interested area women are invited to join their sisters at a welcome
event coming soon, to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea, to slow down and
really enjoy time together.
The event is the Sweet Life Café retreat, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Crossroads United Methodist Church, corner of
Haslett and Zimmer roads north of Williamston and east of Haslett. The
retreat is designed to help women savor time with God and friends,
experience meaningful Bible studies, flavor-filled activities and
scrumptiously delicious fun! Registration begins at 8:30 am.
The Crossroads Unit of United Methodist Women is sponsoring the retreat.
The cost is $5 per person and lunch is included. Additional freewill
donations will be appreciated.
