Crossroads UMC offers solid, biblically based Christian Education
programs for all ages.  Your children will learn about God and
interact with caring teachers.  Kids and adults alike are challenged
to grow closer to God and to each other.
Youth and Children's Ministry
you’re looking for here at Crossroads United Methodist Church at the corner of Haslett and
Zimmer roads. Our Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., and our worship service begins at
11:00 a.m., with coffee and snacks in between.

We kicked off all of our Children’s and Adult Sunday School classes on September 13,
2009 with a barbecue and potluck starting at 12:00 p.m.

Our Children’s classes will begin on February 7, with separate classes for girls and boys in
the elementary school level (grades 1-5). The boys will be looking at "Gross, Scary and
Weird" stories from the Bible (with related, but harmless, activities), while the girls will be
focusing on the inner beauty God has given each of us, and learning not to focus on the
outer beauty the world only sees.

Our preschool class is geared towards children ages 3-5.  They learn about important
people and stories of the Bible through developmentally-appropriate, hands-on projects
related to the story.  This class will meet downstairs in room A, with Joe Besko teaching.

Our youth class (middle and high school) is geared towards children in sixth grade and up.
This will be a Bible study class with relevant activities and projects. This discussion-based
class meets in room E, with Julie Skinner and Anne Rounds teaching.

Junior Church, a youth-oriented worship time with music and hands-on bible stories for
elementary students will be starting soon.  Please contact the church @ 655-1466 for more
information.

We also have a traditional curriculum-based adult study, and an alternate adult group study
using the Serendipity Bible (the "great Bible with the odd name!") as the basis for topical
studies. Both groups welcome new members at any time--please join us on our journey of
spiritual growth!

We are looking forward to having you join us for any of these opportunities to worship God
and learn more about Him.  If you have any questions, you can call the church @ 655-
1466, Toinette Wicks or Pastor Brian.  In addition, we are looking for adults willing to lend
a helping hand in preschool and elementary classrooms.  Please call Toinette if you would
be willing to help.
